Director's Welcome

In 2003 the Lowcountry Biblical Counseling Center was birthed to help pastors, churches and people in the Charleston area. As a pastor for over ten years, I can testify to the intense burden and responsibility pastors carry for the people of God. This is especially felt at times when beloved parishioners are experiencing intense relational conflicts and personal crises. My formal counseling training is from the Master’s College (MABC) and am certified by the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors and the International Association of Biblical Counselors. Our philosophy of counseling and change is not just connected to Christian faith but is saturated with Biblical Truth. We invite you to come and see what a difference the use of the Scriptures make in the counseling and change process. This has continued to lead to lives and marriages changed to the glory Christ and His wisdom.

LCBCC does not seek to replace the local body of Christ, but seeks the local body of Christ to replace LCBCC through training, certifying, and mentoring God's people to counsel one another biblically under the oversight of their local church (Rom 15:14; Col 3:16; Heb 10:24-25; Heb 3:12-13; 1Thes 5:14; Eph 4:15; Gal 6:1-2). There are three primary vehicles we use to assist the local pastor and churches in fulfillment of this mission: 1) biblical counseling, 2) biblical counseling training, and 3) resources.

Please let us know how the center can help.

Nothing without Christ,

Biblical transformation is more than behavior modification and more than just changing your “stinkin’ thinkin’ ”.  It is about changing who or what is your God.  I have found that the more I help people stand amazed at the mighty deeds and glorious characteristics of the God of the Bible, the more they are enabled by the Spirit of God to be motivated in a divine change that the world can not know. They are empowered to obey God’s Word by a faith that perseveres and by the new values that emerge from new understanding of God.  This is true, satisfying, biblical transformation - it begins with what you think about God and how often you think of Him.  If you are interested in learning more about this type of change, please take time to view the three key lessons below.  They are, in my opinion, the most important distinction between secular counseling, Christian counseling and what you will learn at LCBCC.
